Ergül Karagözoğlu is a Bulgaria-born Turkish artist working across photography, ceramics, sculpture and painting. Specializing in experimental photography and 19th-century photographic printing processes, she creates tactile, hand-crafted works that merge photography with ceramics and alternative printing methods. Her practice brings traditional techniques into dialogue with contemporary narratives, questioning the physical and conceptual boundaries of the photographic image.
She completed both her BA and MA at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Photography, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Art (Proficiency in Art) at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Art and Design Program. She lives and works in Bodrum.
